Who you are buying from

Tazbear is operated by Christopher Tasber, a licensed funeral director, in Rochester, New York. Questions before or after an order are welcome at Chris@tazbear.com or (585) 629-8406.

How an order works

You design your piece online and submit it. We prepare a model of your urn and send it to you to review. You are not charged until you approve that model. Once you approve it, production begins and your chosen shipping speed applies.

If the model is not right, tell us and we will work on it with you before anything is charged or made.

Prices

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Full-size urns start at $210 and keepsake sizes start at $16; the final price depends on the size and finish you choose, since pricing follows the finish family — wood or electroformed copper — rather than the individual color. An optional inscription is $15. Shipping and any applicable sales tax are calculated at checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but the price shown when you approve your model is the price you pay.

Production and delivery times

After you approve your model, wood finishes typically produce in 1 to 3 business days and copper finishes in 2 to 6 business days. Your chosen shipping speed begins after that. These are production estimates, not guarantees, and carrier delays are outside our control.

If you have a service date, contact us before ordering. Christopher will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

Your photograph

By uploading a photograph you confirm you have the right to use it for this purpose. A clear, well-lit, front-facing portrait produces the finest relief; a photograph that is blurred, low resolution, or has the face obscured limits what the relief can show. We will tell you if we think an image will not produce a good result. How we handle your photograph is covered in our privacy policy.

Cancellations, returns, and damage

You may cancel at no cost any time before you approve your model, because nothing has been charged or made.

After approval, each piece is made to order with your own photograph and cannot be resold, so we accept returns only for items damaged in transit or affected by a manufacturing defect. If something arrives damaged or defective, email or call us within 14 days of delivery with a photograph of the problem and we will replace it or refund it.

Handmade finishes vary slightly piece to piece, and screens render color differently than metal and wood do. Reasonable variation in tone or patina is a property of the work, not a defect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Changes

If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page. The terms in effect when you approve your model are the ones that apply to that order. For practical details on sizes, finishes, and shipping, see the FAQ.
